Community Engagement

Our Draft Plan of Subdivision has been submitted.

Slate Asset Management has submitted an application for a Draft Plan of Subdivision (DPOS) on the Steelport site to the City of Hamilton for their review. The DPOS plays an important role in the Master Plan process for Steelport. It will establish the development blocks and infrastructure used to service each block through roads and servicing corridors. It also serves as an important starting point for engagement with the surrounding community.

The Steelport site is situated upon the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas. This land is covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek. This land is also covered by the Between the Lakes Purchase, 1792, between the Crown and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
